Maize Corporation was born as an offshoot of the Hesston owned Field Queen division. In 1977, Hesston was in the process of moving its Field Queen division from Maize, KS when three former Field Queen employees embarked on a new venture which became Maize Corporation. The three founders were Bernard Wells, Ernie Vonfeldt and Bill Majerus.
The Kaff family purchased the business in 2008, forming Kearney Equipment LLC. The Maize Kansas operations continue as dba under the original Maize Corporation name.
